Quiet Release

This piece is about the quiet effort it takes to be vulnerable. I made her face expressionless to show that opening your heart is often a calm, deliberate choice rather than an emotional rush. By showing her bending the wires of the birdcage away from her bleeding heart, the artwork captures the difficult but necessary process of forcing yourself to open up to new experiences and emotions.
The Spectacle

This piece reflects the exhausting expectation to always 'play the fool' or act a certain way for others. I chose green skin to represent the physical nausea and sickness of trying to fit into these social boxes. The eyeballs replacing the traditional jester bells symbolize the heavy, suffocating feeling of constant public observation and judgment.
Hypervigilance

Where do you look when you are forced to see in every direction at once? This piece was born from a deeply personal reality: the constant, exhausting need for women to be on the lookout for danger in this world.
Captured in rich violet tones, this horned figure turns her back to the viewer, yet she is completely unguarded. The eyes trailing down her spine represent ultimate self-preservation—an involuntary shield of awareness built to watch over her shoulder when no one else will. Each eye fractures her gaze into a different direction, capturing the heavy weight of always having to protect your own back.
